  • A lovely day in the friend’s house with friends. We were all surprised by Luobo’s talent on recognizing Chinese words.

  • I didn’t realize that we had bought so many books. It didn’t look like much when they were on the bookshelf.

  • I hung around The Temple of Earth and Me 2024 Beijing Book Fair this afternoon. I found some interesting books and can’t stop buying when I came to the foreign bookstore. Xiaoyan and Hamer came to find me after they finished dining together.

  • Hamer had one awesome “Bangbang” coupon and five keep going “Jiayou”cards. These were from the teacher to acknowledge her good behavior and performance at school.

  • During these two weeks of primary school, I noticed that they need to study very hard because Hamer felt tired and went to sleep early on her own every day.

  • After a delicious breakfast, I took Hamer to school and then rushed to the office to attend a meeting.

  • I concentrated on work over the past two days, and it made me feel good. Meanwhile, the three hours of virtual learning today made me cheerful, even though I didn’t communicate well during the breakout session.

  • I ran 3km this evening, a good start.

  • Hamer send the message to Xiaoyan this afternoon: “Mom, can I go to your home to take some toys to play with in the garden?“😀

  • Hamer had a wonderful Sunday with her classmate and teacher. They had lunch at the teacher’s house, applied makeup at home, played in the garden, and had dinner at the teacher’s house again. Meanwhile, Xiaoyan and I stayed home to watch TV.

  • Hamer was crying heavily when she discovered that her chocolate had been given to a classmate by us. She blamed at her mom because she hadn’t been asked for permission first. Her mom explained that it was my idea, but Hamer remained angry, saying she should have stopped me from taking the chocolate and put it back in the fridge.

  • Last night, I was too sleepy because I went to sleep too late the night before. I should stick to a regular sleep schedule at my age.

  • Hamer told me she has a new friend to play with a lot at school, and this made her happy to go to school.

  • I rode my e-bike to have dinner with old classmates of CUGB last evening.

  • This might be a case of never being too old to learn. Hamer’s grandmother was studying Traditional Chinese Medicine very hard.

  • Hamer was wondering why there are so many dolls inside a Russian Matryoshka, a gift from Mom.

  • Hamer told me that she still didn’t want to go to school today because school ends at 4:20 p.m. However, when we arrived at the school gate, she felt better, met one of her classmates, and happily stepped into the school.
